Rapidshare Happy Hours Checker using Firefox Extension “HappyChecker”
Rapidshare happy hours are a wonderful thing. Especially after the dog and cat incident that no one wants to talk about. In once sentence, Rapidshare happy hours is a period of time when Rapidshare allows you to download a file without having to go fill in the captcha and without waiting for your download to start. All the other limits are still in effect, so no downloading more than one file and only 100MB per 90 minutes.
But how can you know when the happy hours are active? A crafty little Firefox extension called “HappyChecker” is available which alerts the user whenever Rapidshare happy hours are active. The author was working on a standalone visual basic application for alerting him about the happy hours. He realized that a Firefox extension would be much more usable as his browser window is open most of the day.
The extension checks Rapidshare at regular intervals for happy hours and displays a message to inform the user whenever happy hours are active. You will be presented by a popup like window when Rapidshare happy hours are in effect.
